New Features: Data drops
A data drop is a planned, standardized data delivery to document the progress of a BIM project. The handovers usually take place at fixed milestones and serve to ensure that all project participants are up to date with the latest planning and construction data. Data drops are always defined with fixed due dates, which ensure smooth collaboration, early error detection and efficient planning and construction.
What is the real added value of BIMQ for data drops?
It is the targeted checking of the information delivery that has to be complied with using the data drop. And these are all the use cases that need to be fulfilled at this point in time for this milestone in the project. The result package includes all the checking rules that contain the agreed information deliveries for the models to be provided for the specific use case. Depending on the choice of checking software, these can be either IDS files or specific Solibri, Desite or BIMCollab rules.
