BIMQ News

Creating requirements has become even easier

The latest BIMQ update has significantly expanded the capabilities of IFC object mapping and allows model validation to be consolidated for identical classes. This means less effort and better structuring of requirements.

Effective immediately, users are no longer limited to lists of IFC classes and types: they can now completely forego IFC class assignments and work exclusively with classifying properties instead. For example, general properties of all exterior components can be easily consolidated into a single definition.

New import features

We have significantly expanded our IDS import functionality, making the import and synchronization with existing data even more powerful. At the same time, the new IFC model import enables a completely new workflow. This is particularly useful for BIMQ users who have carefully created IFC reference models or who wish to align their requirements with the export capabilities of the BIM tools they use.
By modeling the IFC reference model, the permitted value ranges can also be specifically controlled, as each object in the IFC model is analyzed along with its attributes and translated into permitted enumerations or value ranges.
